monsoon-style swimming turns me on. there's nothing like the weight of droplets from the stars and the sound they make when they reach surfaces. My true Aussie comes out. And I go swimming. Wherever I can.
It just happens that I live in a building with an open pool. And when it rains (its been sunny summer sun-baking-weather all weekend), everyone runs like they're gunna get gunned down.
Thats when I slip in :-)
subject trouble? I agree. The only link to these words and their title is that I'm listening to her (P!nk's) fine chops right now.......
incongruous is how I roll....;-)000)
Life, Live, Dream, Do
I am a Pittsburgh-based artist and designer and am very excited to return to the beginning of self-reinvention: life, live, dream, do. :-) I love design. I love how life influences design. I love how design influences life. I like hanging with my pug, reading a good novel, swimming, playing pool, any movie with an intricate plot or with gratuitous graphics, waistcoats & good coffee :-) I also strongly dislike the juxtaposition of blues with greens in anything, except in design :->

week 4? really? already?
i can't tell you the rush you get when you drive past a billboard, showing a design you have been working on a lot, that was just client-approved and signed off on.
I love what I do. And what, with others, we make.

join me
things flash through my mind's eye, sometimes when I prefer not...
But there they come, alas. But don't we all, flash?
when is the last time you had a look at what you get distracted by, things you think are a waste of time, and actually treat these things like they have a due date? things that make you not tired when you could drop from exhaustion. things that challenge you, in all sorts of ways. things that you long to be a part of, or be separated from...
its been a long day, and a long night. and its only 9pm.
and all of it can be wrapped up in the above sentiment.
join me!
long live the flash!

2nd day at Mullen
Wow. This place is amazing.
Arriving at Mullen in the morning feels like I and everyone else here has just finished work. And this is what we all do for fun afterwards....
day two here goes!

little script to add Spotlight comments to selected files/folders
Below is a applescript to automate Spotlight commenting, for selected files and folders.
Spotlight comments are way underused, I recon. I use them kinda like a Version Control Management technique, in a way.
Makes life easier (at least for me) to find stuff without doing smarty pants folders....

past lives, past memories
I forgot what a hippy I used to be. Not that I really like much about the hippy thingy.
Nowadays, The Hippys are portrayed (I have done extensive surveys) as lazy creatures who believed that we were all ants in the same vast colony who should co-exist and breathe the same air and walk the same walk. Of course, the word hippy means very different things to different people.
And forgive me if I misconstrue. I mean, I wasn't there. So I can only follow my instincts by google's guided, gilded research....... yuh....
until they burnt themselves out...
I wish I had my old photos of when I had my curly hair real long, had none of the unstructured lines under my eyes, where I was frolicking with my chickens (they are infinitely more funny than any one of us could ever be) and lived predominantly from my own produce. But you need land for that. And in big cities, and the financial requirements that goes with it, that is not a viable possibility.
<!--- aside --->
I always remember a friend's father telling me over a couple of beers that gas, or petrol, or crude oil pollution has nothing on the ozone layer, because, there are volcanoes that go off every minute that far surpass anything that is expelled by a gammet of cars. That allowed me to feel better about the stuff people were telling me.
But words are, truly, wind.
So how did I digress from hippy hood? Well?
its pointless to resist.
Dr Who did that, and look how that series turned out!?!
